CEAT-S Enters Consultation Proceedings on FinSA and FinIA

On February 17, 2016, the Committee for Economic Affairs and Taxation of the Swiss Council of States (CEAT-S) resolved to enter into consultation proceedings regarding the draft Financial Services Act (FinSA) and the draft Financial Institutions Act (FinIA). We reported on these draft bills in our posts of January 1, 2016 and July 8, 2014. However, the CEAT-S expressly reserved its rights to substantially modify the drafts. The detailed consultation will start in April 2016.
